Consultancy

Fall 2001 - MB Consultancy

Back in September 2001, I registered MB Consultancy with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce. Till then, I had been a project, process and line manager in various jobs and I had spent 2,5 years travelling and working around the globe. Now, life as self-employed consultant started. And even though I am very much a team player, to date I have not regretted this move. Especially, since I have been very fortunate to have worked with wonderful people and teams from various (inter)national clients. My focus over the years has been process and project management with supporting team workshops on various themes.

Spring 2009 - Madeleine Boerma

Spring 2009, my personal and professional journey resulted in the introduction of the concept of the Power of Inspiration, Creation, Sensation & Realisation©. Over the years, I have become a firm believer in the simple fact that if you want to achieve true and lasting professional transformations, personal transformation is a necessary means to this end. This means that traditional management based on facts & figures no longer suffices and a new kind of leadership is required. A form of leadership that looks at the integrated picture of people, facts, figures and feelings. Or, being the language buff that I am, an integrated picture of "folks, facts, figures and feelings"!

Why?

Are you as familiar as I am with statements such as "all we need is (for you) to fix our processes"? Or "the team just needs to be bit more efficient", "if only my colleagues would change their ways of working all would be much better " or how about this one, "management keeps changing the rules"?

Guess what, Aldous Huxley was right when he said "I wanted to change the world. But I have found that the only thing one can be sure of changing is oneself". Let's start!

An old dodge in Telegraph Cove (2004)

Do you think revamping your process (proverbial fresh coat of paint) will make the engine run as new again? Or is a little more work required?
